Chainlink Fences

Chainlink mesh is manufactured in three main wire finishes, (galvanised, galvanised and PVC coated and bright wire with a PVC coating) with the wires folded and stitched together to form a diamond mesh with the top and bottom of the wires knuckled together making it reasonably simple to seamlessly repair by professionally stitching in new sections of mesh.

The most common mesh size is 50mm x 50mm for applications from garden dividing fences to perimeter security fences. Other size meshes are available for special purposes such as 40mm x 40mm mesh which is most commonly used along railway boundaries, 45mm x 45mm mesh most commonly used for ball court surrounds, or 75mm x 75mm mesh which can often be found around vehicle race tracks where it is used as a debris catch fence whilst allowing better visibility for spectators.

Anti intruder Chainlink fences can have the ends of the wires forming the mesh twisted together to form a barbed top, additional line wires and the bottom of the mesh set into a trench backfilled with soil or concrete to deter burrowing.

The most common wire sizes for galvanised Chainlink are 2.0mm 2.5mm 3.0mm 3.55mm and 5.0mm
